The following text has been copied from a Facebook post on my personal profile that has now been set to private. It is part of a series of posts providing details about the first part of my daughter’s fight with Transverse Myelitis.
Annadelle had a great night last night. After we put her prone for a while yesterday afternoon, her lungs sound much clearer and her O2 stayed above 98 all night.
She was feeling so good that she gave Grace (her new American Girl doll) her medicine in her own PICC line as Nurse Christy gave Annadelle her medicine. The PICC team was kind enough to give Grace her own PICC line about a week ago, but Annadelle didn’t want much to do with her while she was on the vent. Now that she’s off the vent, Nurse Annadelle has gone to work to help Patient Grace. She now wants to change Grace’s diaper, do her oral care, and give her medicines all by herself. Annadelle has become so familiar with being in the hospital that she even says, “Change my SAT probe to the other foot, please!”
I am almost in tears seeing how well our baby girl is doing. I knew that God would answer our prayers and indeed He has. Let this be a testament if you are a nonbeliever- when you put your trust in God, He always provides!!! He makes a way when there is no way, all we need do is trust in Him.
Please continue to send up many prayers for a full recovery!
